A Passion for Helping Others

Fueled by a lifelong passion for helping others, Tyra Smith enrolled in the Medical Assisting program at Ross Medical Education Center in Muncie, Indiana.

Throughout her education at Ross Medical, Ms. Smith developed many skills that would help contribute to her success; including blood draws, vitals signs, and the ability to adapt under pressure. Her externship requirements were completed at Pavilion Pediatric Center where she performed both clinical and administrative job duties.

Trya remains grateful to Ross Medical Education for providing the opportunity to participate in a supply drive that was held on campus for a local soup kitchen. She also wishes to extend gratitude to Vanessa stating that she “is the absolute best there is.”

Ms. Smith is currently employed as a Medical Assistant, and is scheduled to complete a degree in Health Science in August of 2022. In the future, her goal is to work in medical research.
