Zona Browning

Achieving Her Goal

Zona Browning knew she wanted to work in the healthcare industry at the age of 9, when her grandfather was diagnosed with cancer. She states, “I will never forget the strength that each one of the health care team members provided him. Unfortunately despite all their best efforts, as I turned 13, his recovery failed. He had lost his battle, but the dedication from the staff inspired my desire in medicine.”

Prior to attending Ross Medical Education Center Ms. Browning was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at a nursing home. Earlier this year, She graduated from the Medical Assisting program at Ross Medical Education Center in Charleston, West Virginia. Her externship requirements were fulfilled at Bali Surgical where she administered injections, obtained vital signs, and performed wellness checks on patients. Today, she enjoys her job working as a Medical Assistant where she utilizes the skills learned during her education and externship experience.
